DAY 1: VEGAS - ZION
  • 2 hours, 41 minutes to Zion
  • Stopped at Valley of the Fire State Park​ - 1 hour in, worth it!
  • Once in Zion, must take Zion park shuttle on the weekends! It's free.

ZION HIKING
  • Highly recommend bringing yaktrax - all trails were so icy/snowy
  • Temple of sinawava stop
  • Riverside walk trail to the narrows
  • Zion lodge stop
  • Lower emerald pools

​LODGING
  • Zion Lodge $120
  • cute with a fireplace and all the amenities - inside the park - highly recommend
  • ate at their restaurant, Red Rock Restaurant. GET THE NAVAJO TACO.​

DAY 2: ZION - BRYCE
  • Stayed at zion for a little longer
  • 1 hour 20 minutes to Bryce
  • Kanarraville Falls - 1 hour 52min (WANTED TO BUT DIDNT - YOU SHOULD!)

BRYCE HIKING
  • Sunset to sunrise to inspiration point. You can walk the whole rim.
    • We did this because it snowed 30", during the government shutdown, so the roads were not usable.
  • Mossy Cave Trail
    • Along the river
    • ​Could walk up to the frozen waterfall

LODGING
Best Western Plus Grand - Bryce Canyon Grand Hotel $114
  • Free breakfast
  • If you can find something in the park - do that!​

​DAY 3: PAGE, ARIZONA
  • Drive 2 hours, 51 minutes from Bryce
  • Horseshoe Bend
  • Antelope Canyon (10-noon) for best photos
    • Must do a tour, cannot go on your own - we went through Ken's Tours
    • Ken's Tours - lower antelope canyon (there is also an upper, and I dont know the difference) $50/person
    • We went at 2:30 and the light was totally fine then too
    • This was the best part of our trip and if you can do both lower and upper, I would!

Drive 4 hours, 22 minutes to Grand Canyon

LODGING
Maswik Lodge - inside the Grand Canyon $118
  • Nice, but no view. If you can stay at El Tovar - do that!​

DAY 4: GRAND CANYON - SOUTH RIM
  • It just so happened to be Grand Canyon's 100th birthday the day we went - unplanned surprise!
  • They gave us free posters & cake at the visitor center.
  • Hermit's Road Scenic Drive - East Rim
    • Only open to private vehicles December - February
    • Of course, we took advantage
  • Desert View Scenic Drive - South Rim
  • Eat lunch at El Tovar's Restaurant, half the price of dinner & so good with views!

Drive 4 hours, 9 minutes to Vegas
